Great Bumper
By J. Mckerrihan
I ordered this bumper for my 1999 Ford Ranger. It was easy to install and looks great. The bumper kit made it easy and the directions were explicit. I would definitely order another product from this company.

Not a wimpy bumper!
By Nanolazer
Installed this on my 2003 Ford Ranger Edge in about an hour. It looks great and is very sturdy and well made. The picture doesn't do it justice. It is black and not chrome but I prefer black. It has a nice large rubber covered step area so appears to be a lot safer than the stock bumper. Would have no problem towing something. There were just four 18mm bolts on the old bumper so it came off easily. The 97200 universal mounting kit has several holes for different trucks that you don't use. Unfortunately the side holes did not line up with any on the Ford end, only the bottom bolts will attach. Seems very secure though with just those. Only problem is if you want a stronger mount you will have to drill a couple of holes on the side of the brackets. They supply plenty of hardware to do this. I right angle drill would be good to have in this area. A little disappointed in the mounting kit but overall, this is a great bumper and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.< /p>

no fit
By jim
Brackets do not line up on 2002 Ford Ranger Edge. About 3" difference. Rather than send it back I had to break out the scrap metal and welder to fabricate brackets. Fits great now but definitely misrepresented in the ad as a direct fit for Ford Ranger. Buy only if you are somewhat proficent at metal working.
