Great addition to an older ('00) Jeep Cherokee

My wife got rid of our '07 Wrangler 4dr in favor of a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. The only thing she missed was the temp/compass feature found in most newer cars. This mirror made her a very happy wife, which as we all know is important.

Installation is straightforward for someone who is comfortable with removing trim pieces and running wires through their vehicle, if you've ever installed a car stereo with speakers you should be OK.

As far as the compass is concerned the unit self calibrated and is consistent with my GPS, temp was tested with 2 digital thermometers and is within a degree or two.

The auto dim feature is very nice. I was concerned that since her rear windows are tinted (not limo tint just 35% transmission) there would not be enough light for it to function properly. This is not the case, the mirror starts to dim before following cars get close enough to be annoying.

Factory-like temp and compass

Added mirror to 2012 Hyundai Accent... it looks like a factory option. Clear and accurate. I had professionally installed by local auto restoration shop, small simple job for them, about $100. I would recommend this product.

I like to know the outside tempature and which way I'm going sometimes, the dimming feature is an added bonus.
