Same but Better for NR

Ok, I looked at these tail lights along with the first pair of Spyder tail lights I actually bought (Spyder Auto ALT-ON-DRAM02-LED-BK Dodge RAM 1500/2500/3500 Black LED Tail Light) and I bought those instead because these just looked too dark (in the picture) for me. I'd much rather keep somebody from running into the back of my truck at night than just have something that looks really cool. Well since I'm going for a "Night Runner" effect on my truck by removing all of the chrome, the problem arose that the original sets chrome rings that the LED lights set in REALLY stand out, too much. So I said what the heck and got this smoke lens version hoping that it was better (lighter) than it looks in the picture and they are. The smoke lens (the outer clear plastic cover for the whole light has been changed from clear to smoke) is not nearly as dark as it looks here. Just dark enough to cover up those bright chrome rings and blend much better for the effect I want. So if you'r e looking for a really dark smoke lens tail light for your truck, you'll most likely want to look somewhere else. If you just want a nice semi-dark lensed tail light to blend with your dark or black truck or to offset a lighter truck, this is a great option. As stated in my review for the first set Spyder tail lights I purchased, these are a great tail light but Spyder tech support sucks and these come with no instructions. I sent an email asking about the wiring for the LED rings and got back a simple "Red is for turn signal / brake, blue is for brake, and white is your negative / ground wire. If you wire them into your trucks wiring harness that way, you'll get the LED rings to light up with your turn signals and when you apply the brakes. I decided in both tail light sets that I wanted better / more light continuously so I just wired the LED rings into my parking lights and let the regular turn signal and brake lights do their job when needed. These are a good product and I highly recommend them to all Dodge truck fans wanting a different look for their truck.

Looking Sharp

Didn't really like them at first, but they grew on me. Now that I have them and can see how sharp they make the back end look, I'm not sorry I got them.
