Excellent looking headlight assembly.
By Todd D. Fuller
We have a 2002 Ford Focus SE that we have owned since new that is now 10 years old. Our original headlamp assemblies were both getting foggy from oxidation. About two years ago, I bought a 3M headlamp polishing kit. It cleared up the original assemblies fairly well, but after two years, they got cloudy again. So, rather than spend $20 on another polishing kit and 1-2 hours of my time polishing again, for results that were less than new, I bought this pair of headlight assemblies. They arrived a few days later, each in their own box, very well packaged, with the company Vision automotive lighting on the side of the boxes. The headlight assemblies LOOK BRAND SPANKING NEW! I used a Youtube video to help me remove the old ones and install the new ones. You have to remove 4 plastic "fake" phillips screw to remove the plastic cover plate on the grill, then a 10mm socket with extension to remove 4 bolts, CCW to release two turn bulbs then remove grill. Then 2 more metal 10mm bolts and one plastic 10MM stabilizing bolt on the top, and one metal 10mm bolt underneath, and the assembly is free. By the way, the Youtube video did not show removal of the 10mm bolt underneath the car. It is ideal to drive your car up on ramps to remove this bolt. Once all bolts and screws are out, unplug the power connector. This product, like all aftermarket products, is not exactly the same as the OEM. Some of the boltheads don't quite line up exactly. But no big deal. The bolts still go in straight. The fit of the plastic power connector was a little too snug, but after gently using an o-ring pick, I was able to gently allow the two snaps to "snap" to securely hold the connector in place. Make sure you tug on the electrical connector to ensure it is locked. The only real weakness of these units is the two lightbulbs that come with them. I was actually surprised they came with bulbs, given the reasonable price of the assemblies. So, no surprise one o f the two Biolight brand bulbs was not illuminating all the way. Save your old bulbs from your old headlight assemblies. One of my bulbs I pulled from my old assembly is a GE brand, that is at least 7 years old, and likely 10 years old. I just replaced the Biolight brand bulb that was defective with this GE bulb. I keep another Sylvania HB-2 in the glovebox. In fact, I may recommend replacing at least one of the two bulbs with a quality brand bulb like GE or Sylvania, before you install the headlight assemblies. Once installed, I drove around in style! The first time it took me to remove and replace one assembly was about 30 minutes. But on the second time, I could remove and replace one full assembly in 15 minutes, which I had to do, when I discovered one of the two bulbs that came with it was not illuminating properly. The front end of the car now looks new. I will report back if any developments necessitate me changing this review. I am happy with my initial purc hase and will definitely buy these again if they last, and don't get foggy after at least several years.

Great Product
By MetalEarth
I've been buying from Amazon for many years. This is the first review I'm writing because this headlight assembly is well worth the money. The only item I'd like to see included is the directions for installation. On the Ford Focus assembly there's one nut that you have to get from under the car. To be clear, there's three screws on top and one nut on the bottom. It took me awhile to figure that out. Either way, that isn't a product issue. Still, it would have been nice to know and would have made installation a breeze.
